Robot Welding Workstation for Frame Assembly
The system primarily consists of a cantilever-type industrial robot, a laser scanning and tracking system, robotic motion axes, a gun-cleaning and wire-cutting device, a welding power source, conveyor rollers, and a control system. The box panel is lifted and conveyed to the roller conveyor; upon activation, the system automatically feeds the panel onto the conveyor rollers in the robot’s welding workcell, where the workpiece is automatically positioned and clamped. The system then uses the cantilever traveling mechanism to drive the robot for mobile operations, including automated laser weld-seam scanning and welding. Two robots—one on the left and one on the right—alternately perform automated welding, covering the entire welding area. Once welding is complete, the system issues a command to raise the elevating conveyor rollers, which then convey the finished box panel while simultaneously feeding in another panel for processing.
